Here is a sneaky excerpt (unedited and subject to change)

Adrian runs his hands up my arms and shoulders until they grasp both sides of my neck to tilt my head back so that I'm staring straight into his arctic blue eyes. I immediately start trembling, and it's not with fear. "Celeste, I'm begging you not to leave here looking like that. You look gorgeous, babe, but I can't sit here all night wondering who's hitting on you, who's imagining moving that scrap of fabric over to get a glimpse at what is..."
"What is what?" I breathe heavily.
"What is underneath it all." His brow wrinkles, and I feel his hands tighten their pleasurably painful grip. "What is underneath it all?"
"Just me, Adrian, just me," I breathe. "That's all."
"So everything then. Just like I thought." He removes one of his hands to run it up the back of my thigh. My eyes widen and I swallow hard.
"That's not a good idea," I whisper. His hand wraps all the way around my thigh, his fingertips coming to rest along the crease of my left cheek. My thigh pulses with fire.
"Why not?" His fingertips tease back and forth a little. Even though it’s a light touch, it feels like his calloused fingertips mark me.
"Why not? Look at us. We can't even have a civil conversation for everything that has passed between us, and you want to further complicate it. What you're doing will further complicate matters."
His hand stills. He exhales loudly and lets his head drop on my chest. "You do this to me. I don't act like this. That day in the park, watching you cross and uncross your legs. Throwing your hair over your shoulder. Laughing without a care in the world. Cheering me on like it was your favorite thing to do! It killed me. Killed me. I've never wanted a woman the way I want you. Never."
His words rain down on me like fiery drops of lust. I close my eyes and rewrite that memory. I thought he was just being an ass, but his unexpected anger was because he was yearning for me. I bite my lip, open my eyes, and shake my head. "It's just because you can't have me, Adrian. I'm nothing special."
"Oh, baby, you have no idea." He runs his nose up my throat, scenting me as he goes. I lean my neck back, giving him more access even as my brain screams at me to run—not walk—out of this room. But when he says, "You're everything to me." My head falls back even further and my eyes close again as I feel him slant his head and attack my chin, throat, and neck with closed-mouth kisses. I hear myself moan and give myself one more little jolt to try to spare myself from this delicious torment that will only end in frustration.

My Favourite Mistake

My Favourite Mistake (My Favorite Mistake, #1)

Taylor Caldwell can't decide if she wants to kiss her new college roommate or punch him.

On the one hand, Hunter Zaccadelli is a handsome, blue-eyed bundle of charm. On the other, he's a tattooed, guitar-playing bundle of bad boy. Maybe that's why Taylor's afraid of falling in love with him, or anyone else. She doesn't want to get burned, so she needs him gone before it's too late.

Hunter himself has been burned before, but Taylor's sexy laugh and refusal to let him get away with anything make her irresistible. Determined not to be kicked out of her life without a fight, Hunter proposes a bet: if she can convince him she truly loves or hates him, he'll leave the apartment--and leave her alone. The problem is, the more time they spend together, the less she hates him, and the more she moves toward love.

But when the man behind Taylor's fear of giving up her heart resurfaces, she has to decide: trust Hunter with her greatest secret, or do everything in her power to win that bet and drive him away forever

Ramblings...

“Love is simple. You fall and that's it. You'll work the other stuff out. You just gotta let yourself fall and have faith that someone will be there to catch you.”

Absolutely amazing.....! I loved this story, I was hooked from the very first page. The banter between the two love birds was awesome, I think thats what got me hooked on, there was so much chemistry between them. Always having a dig at each other, It was funny and adorable! The love and hate relationship is just common to people you just meet or just how some people are, especially when you start of on the wrong foot but daily banter can grow into something more.

Both trouble people with a hidden secret that haunts them to make them the way they are come across each other, making them believe the secret is in the past and the future is brighter. They become each others rock and support, patching up the wound from the past. ' Love overrides and heal the wounds'

"There must be a mistake," I said.

He adjusted his bag on his shoulder. "That's a creative name. What do you shorten it to? Missy?”

Taylor the independent girl with the hard front and kick ass attitude but with a deep hidden secret that frighten her. Until her new unexpected male roommate Hunter, slowly breaks her shell and comfort zone.  Hunter the player and the charmer was lucky enough to end up sharing a house with 3 ladies, of course he set his eyes on Taylor, the girl that isn't interested in his charms. But they both end up sharing a room together and you can imagine all banter between that. The banter and fight is great, so normal and funny, keeps you reading on.

I loved this book...Hunter was great...never giving up on Taylor, even when she kept pushing him away and all that sexual frustration sleeping in the same room. That man was a gent to her!! Taylor was a little annoying sometime, she was clearly denying her feels but i guess with good reasons but just didn't believe her heart. I think this book shows, sometimes you just gotta have that little faith and believe in yourself and your be happier. Take that leap of faith and you never know what it might bring you!

“I don't like you. I don't like how your hair smells, and how I can't stop thinking about waking up and seeing your face. I hate how my bed felt empty when you left. I don't like how good you were with my family, especially Harper, and how I wanted to see you with them again, but not just as a guest. As a member. You're right. I don't like you at all.”

Fear of Falling by SL Jennings

I can’t remember the last time I felt completely safe. Security seemed more like a luxury to me, reserved for those who were fortunate enough to have picture perfect childhoods. For those who didn’t bear the ugly scars that keep me bound in constant, debilitating fear. I’ve run from that fear my entire life. But when I met him, for once, I couldn’t run anymore.

He scared the hell out of me in a way that excited every fiber of my being. It wasn’t the tattoos or the piercings. It wasn’t the warmth that seemed to radiate from his frame and blanket me whenever he was near. It was just…him. The scary beautiful man that threatened to alter 23 years of routine and rituals, and make me face my crippling fear.

My name is Kami and I am constantly afraid. And the thing that scares me the most is the very thing I want.

“Don’t worry,” he smiled, pulling me into the hard warmth of his chest. “I’ve got you. I’ll always catch you when you fall.”

And just like that, Blaine had staked his claim on the untouched part of me that no living soul had ever moved. He had captured every fear, every reservation, and crushed them in the palm of his inked hand.

Author Disclaimer: Abuse is real- verbal, emotional, physical and sexual. It takes place all around us; it doesn’t discriminate against race or gender, wealth or poverty. It affects us all- those of us who’ve had to live through it, or watch it happen, even those of us who’ve only heard about it. We are all affected. We are all forever changed.

This is not a story for the faint of heart; this is the story of one woman’s very real struggle through a world against her, the people who hurt her, her real life demons and the people who showed her that every gray sky, no matter how dark, has a sun waiting to break through.

***Inspired by true events***

Ramblings . . .

Its been 24 hours since I have done any reading . . . that's a record for me . . . 24 hours since I finished Fear of Falling . . .  Biggest book hangover since Collide by Gail McHugh!

Where to begin . . . I honestly cannot praise this book enough. Its one of the best books this year and now added to one of my all-time favourites.

We follow the tale of Kami and Blaine. Kami is a troubled chick who has dealt with a tragic childhood and is being haunted into her adult life. Scarring and tainting any relationship she has, stopping her from getting close to anyone around her. I cried for Kami, so many times. I desperately wanted her to find peace and fall safely into Blaine's arms.

"I'm not looking through you, Kami. I'm looking into you. I'm standing here, wondering how the hell a girl so beautiful could hold so much sadness in her gorgeous green eyes"

"I've got you. I'll always catch you when you fall"

Whilst the story is one of tragedy and a tormented soul, its also one of love, courage and raw passion. The journey that ensues to reach the safe place where you feel warmth and hope again. Its a beautiful tragedy and it stole my breath, my tears and still managed to make me drool all over my Kindle . . . my poor Kindle, covered in all my bodily fluids!

"When you are madly in love with me, the only thing you'll regret is not falling sooner"

SWOON

The raw, instant, electrifying chemistry between Kami and Blaine is absolutely magnetic and it sucked me in right at the first chapter. The stolen moments they share amongst the busy hustle of the bar, is just amazing. So real and so pure you can feel it seeping from the pages.

That goes without saying Blaine is HOT stuff! You should all know by now, Im a sucker for a tatted, shaggy haired hotty! I cant help myself. I like men, I do, but I even found myself attracted to Kami! What a beautiful, strong, sexy woman. Despite all she has gone through and her constant struggle to deal her pain and fears, she is a badass chick with a huge heart buried beneath all the anguish.

"Hey, roadrunner, where'd you go?"

I was in tears through so many parts of this book and often found myself with my hand grabbing at my face to stop the howling falling from my mouth. The shit Kami goes through is so sad, you want to jump right into the pages and safe her from the torment. Sadly, as SL Jennings warns in her disclaimer, this is a sad truth of what happens in the real world all around us. You just have to hang in there with Kami and fight for love.

I could carry on and on for pages and pages but I dont want to stop you from falling in love with this book yourself and honestly, no words could do this book justice!

Electrifying, emotional, passionate, tender, tragic, raw, intense . . . Aghh!! Too much to say, I cant possibly sum it up! BUY IT HERE!

It will be the best thing you do!

The easiest five stars I have ever given

SL Jennings, you are a genius

Because it’s impossible to let somebody go, when you never stopped loving them in the first place.

Author: Natalie Ward

I'm a seriously avid reader who often gets far too invested in characters and books. As a result, I rarely sleep when I'm reading a book I love. For as long as I can remember, I have lived with a bunch of people inside my head who tell me their stories, asking me to write them down...well that or maybe I'm just crazy. I don't mind though, because I love writing, even if it also means I don't get very much sleep. I like to read and write stories that are outside the box, something different and the best thing in the world is a message from a reader, telling me that something I wrote affected them. I love that more than anything. Oh and I also love 30 Seconds to Mars and think Jared Leto has a voice that very closely resembles what I would call vocal sex.

Blog Tour: September Tango Review and 2 Giveaways!

September Tango
Loosely based on a true story.

The town of Major is nothing more than a major disappointment for Zoe Parker. She is living in a grey world after the death of her beloved Mama, and can’t seem to shake the growing depression that threatens to consume her. Things only get worse when she discovers her longtime boyfriend is banging every chick in town.

Her daddy is gone most nights, and all she can think about is the boy who really caught her eye in high school more than five years ago… The one with gorgeous dark skin and smoldering eyes… Too bad he was dating her best friend. Now she floats around, moving through the daily routine with small dreams about getting away from the small town, and finding a real man to claim her heart…

Staff Sergeant Calvin Hall of the US Army is finally putting his boots back on American soil for some R&R. It’s been five years since he joined the military, and he hasn’t looked back since. After dealing with his own troubling past, he wants to lay back and enjoy some time to put it all behind him. But fate has other plans for him… A beautiful woman snags his attention the first day in town and the pull between them is too strong to resist. The problem? She is his ex-girlfriend’s best friend, she is just as broken as he is, and he has a war he has to get back to in two weeks.

Who says a summer romance ever has to end? What if thousands of miles and a war separated you? Would you keep dancing? Or would it simply be… a September Tango?

Ramblings . . .

A sweet and tender love story that sweeps you up into their whirlwind romance. Only, who says that a holiday romance has to end?

This is the story of a small town girl on her journey with Fate as she finally gets a chance with the love she craves and desperately deserves. A tale of a beautiful romance that’s true and real and absolutely shakes you to the core.

I’m saying I want to protect you. I’m saying that I would give up everything for you. Right now. That is what’s important

This is also the story of a Soldier who deals with the ugliness of war everyday. When on R&R, Fate throws beauty in his path. The beauty of love. Only, Fate doesn’t always play fair. Will their romance last?

"I want the world to know I’m ready to rock yours"

Zoe is dealt a bad hand in life. All the people in her life that were meant to love her, have only ever caused her pain and anguish. When she can no longer see a light on the horizon and life seems just too rough, Calvin walks into her life.

It’s not only the romance that makes this books special. It’s the characters that bring the book to life. Everyone should have a man like Pops in their life. Bringing humour and warmth to the story. I love Pops!

Back to Zoe, she is one of the few female book characters that you will actually like. She is a ballsy chick with a gooey centre. She picks herself up and dusts herself down each and every time.

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes an easy romance to fall into.

We loved this book and we know you will too. Its romantic, real, raw and tender all at once. Its the sheer beauty of their romance that will pull you in . . . give it a read, you wont regret it . . .

Dont forget to leave a comment on the blog for a chance to win a SIGNED paper back of September Tango. As its a Co- written book, thats TWO autographs!!!
