Ramblings . . .
This is the debut novel by Alexandria. A second-chance
love story. When life hands you shit, running is sometimes the only option.
Will love find a way back into your heart?
Bryn suffers loss and heartache
in the worst form. We read as she decides to return to her past and deal with
her demons for once and for all. The last thing she expects is to find Tyler has
also returned.
Tyler, once the love of her life, the man who promised her a future, then just as easily took it away. Leaving her all alone in the toughest time of her life.

This is a quick and easy read. I
finished within 2 days : p. It’s really nicely written.
“I love you times infinity.” |
I didn’t
totally fall for the characters. I liked them but I feel maybe there could have
been a little more depth and character build-up. There is an obvious connection
between Bryn and Tyler but it isn’t over-powering. I feel that Bryn maybe
should have questioned Tyler and Charlottes (Tyler’s sister) disappearance more
than she did. I guess too much time had passed between them and their love for one another one out.
There is
no epic drama in this book and I think that’s nice when you just want to chill
with a book that's not filled with angst. Overall, a nice, easy love story with a sweet HEA.

Her writing is heavily influenced by her surroundings and the people in her life. She hopes that her stories will touch the hearts of her readers.

Interview with Alexandria . . .
1. This is your debut
novel, when did you first decide to become a writer?
I’ve always loved
writing. When I published this novel, a friend of mine said “Your dream came
true!” She was right, it’s been a dream to share a story I can call mine : )
2. Do you believe in
second-chance love?
I do. I hope it comes
through in my book to my readers. A part of me has always wondered what it
would be like to have a second chance with the love of your life. As long as
they didn’t hurt you, LOL.
3. Did you have an
influence when creating your characters?
Bryn is kind of like me,
in a way. Honestly, Savannah, GA inspired so much in this book. The feeling I
get when I’m there, I tried to bring the magic through the pages.
4. What is your
favourite book right now?
Losing it by Cora Carmack
is awesome so far!
5. If you could meet
anyone, living or dead, who would you choose?
Emma Watson! I love her
acting abilities and she seems so normal!
6. Reading or writing?
This is a really good
question! Writing is similar to reading. I get lost just as much in a
manuscript that I do when reading a book. I do enjoy curling up with a good
book though : )
7. The beach and fair
plays a strong back-drop for More Than You Know, are beach days personally
something you like to do? Did you grow up near a beach?
I didn’t but the beach
and fair have always been a big thing in my life. I’ve always loved the
beach...especially Tybee Island. For the fair, we go to the lake every summer
and they have a HUGED ferris wheel that looks out on the lake. I’ve always
found them romantic in a way, but I’m too scared, every year, to ride it!
8. Do you have a role
model in the writing world?
I had an English teacher
in High School that I really looked up to. She encouraged writing and was
critical enough that she pushed me to be a better writer.
9. Music often plays a
big part in books these days, in More Than You Know, film was a big theme. What
is your all-time favourite movie?
Oh, wow. All time
favourite. I think I’d have to say The
Last Song. That movie inspired my love and pretty much obsession with
Savannah. After seeing it, I wanted to visit it so bad. We went on a family
vacation and the characters and scenes came alive! So I thank that movie for
showing me such a beautiful, magical place.
10. What is next for
Alexandria Rhodes? Can you share any secrets with us? ;)
I am so excited,
actually, for what is next! I just finished up my second novel, Like Crazy. I’m
planning on making it into a three book series. It’s much different than More
Than You Know. Here’s the synopsis for you!
Like Crazy:
Life
is all about moments. Moments that can break you; moments that can save you.
On the outside, Emma Matthews seems to have it all. Celebrity status, a sexy new movie and an apartment in Chicago one can only dream of. Despite the rumors of her dating the lead male, Kyle Edwards, in their new movie Sway, Emma is indeed single. When she receives an invitation for her sister’s wedding, Emma knows without a date, she’ll never live it down. Unable to just pick anyone, Emma enlists her publicist and lifeline, Kate, to find someone for her.

Bartender Will Roberts is Ryan Gosling perfection who is looking
for a shakeup in his life. When Kate, or Katie, he can’t remember, comes into
his bar and asks for a favor for a client of hers, Will finds himself incapable
of saying no. Little does he know, he just signed up to play the role of his
ex-girlfriend’s fake boyfriend. He’s the one that got away; the one Emma chose
acting over seven years ago. Given a second chance, Emma and Will decide to
move forward together, only finding themselves rekindling a love that never
ended. Their lives together are perfect and full of bliss even after Emma's
sister's wedding. Everything changes when Emma receives a role of a
lifetime for a movie filming in Australia. Faced with the same decision she had
to make many years ago, the couple finds themselves in a familiar déjà vu
situation where Emma is asked one last time to choose.
