Cherry Kilgore is a plus
sized beauty who moonlights at a strip club and goes by the name Tart. She
dances to have control over her body and chase away her demons, hiding behind a
mask, the only thing that makes her feel free. She loves 'em and leaves 'em,
never letting a man get too close. Until she meets a man one night that strips
her bare with his electric green eyes.
Kellan Morgan is a playboy with a good heart, who loves a woman with real curves.
When he figures out that the woman hiding under her mask is worth revealing, he decides to play her game... A game that is full of pleasure, pain, going the distance and finally getting the ultimate prize...

Realizing that love can truly be found in the
darkest of places
Ramblings . . .
It’s Scarlett Jade’s time to
shine . . . it must be because this book is awesome.
For once,
we have a woman in control and blimey does Cherry take control like a mo’fo.
Cher Kilgore ‘Cherry Tart’, a Secretary temp by day and masked stripper by
night. Cherry is sassy, sexy and far from “perfect” which is what makes this so
empowering. I love her!
Kellan
Morgan, a sharp business-man with a body I would like to strip a suit from. He
knows what he wants and he gets it. Until Cherry, who doesn’t give in quite so
easily.
“You want to play games, my sweet little Cherry Tart?
We’ll play games. How bad do you want it?”
As always,
Scarlett delivers comedy in her words. Her sense of humour always shines
through and even more so in Cherry Tart, did I find myself chuckling at a line.
“They looked a lot like oompa loompas had caught them in
the back alley behind a hairdresser, snatched their weaves while they got bone
from the back, and then beat them with a 64 box of Crayolas”
Now that is not only funny but that line takes a lot of
damn imagination.
Cherry
Tart is definitely NOT a sappy romance. Cherry Tart is a, panty-dripping steamy
romance. I can honestly say there is a slim pile of books that I have read
where the woman takes control in the bedroom. When it happens, I actually think
it’s kinda hot. It makes a change and as I said before, it’s empowering. Cherry
Tart loves ‘em and leaves ‘em so this chick is not messing around. She knows
exactly which strings to tie in the bedroom ;)
“I finally feel alive. You brought color into my world”
But
please, this book isn’t all about the sex (it’s totally about the sex)
SERIOUSLY it’s not ALL about the sex. It’s about the changes one traumatic life
event can make to a person and the collateral damage involved. It’s about
picking yourself up and saying “Eff you” and watching the transition as they
fight for every ounce of courage and strength to be who they want to be.
The beautiful thing about this story is that Cherry
doesn’t need nor rely on the love of a man. She is a strong, independent woman
that got their all by herself. That’s not to say, I don’t love Kellan. I can’t
wait to read what’s next for them. Cherry Tart only really scratches the
surface of their relationship.
“If all you can give me is your body, I’ll do anything I
can to win your heart until it is mine
as well”
Damn, this
review is getting long so I will draw to the end. You should buy this book. If I haven’t convinced you enough then at
least buy it for a change, something different. Because that’s exactly what
Cherry Tart is. Unique.
Scarlett Jade’s best yet.
Refreshing, HOT and sexy.
