Review ~ Pieces For You by Genna Rulon

and still defying fortune's spite; revive from ashes and rise.” -Miguel de Cervantes

Samantha Whitney survived unimaginable tragedy only to discover she had been betrayed by a man who claimed to love her. Shattered, Sam spends months at a safe haven trying to piece herself back together. Ready or not, the time has come for her to return home.

As Sam struggles to resume a life that no longer feels familiar, she finds unwavering support in an unexpected, familiar face. Confronting Sam’s raw emotions and open wounds head-on, Griffin manages to take two steps forward for every step she retreats.

But when Sam is once again threatened, Griffin must decide how far he is willing to go to protect the woman he wants…knowing the cost of her safety is the risk of losing her.

Pieces For You is a captivating journey of survival, healing, and sacrifice—teeming with honesty, humor, unexpected twists, and love’s unsurpassed endurance.begin to plague Sam, it is Griffin she is forced to turn to.

• This story is appropriate for readers 18+
• Though Pieces For You is a part of the For You Series, the book can be read as a stand alone.

Ramblings . . .

This is a follow on from Only For You. This story follows Sam. We met Sam in book 1 and you NEED to read Part 1 before you read this. She was the faithful best friend to Everleigh who was horrifically beaten and abused towards the end of the story. Pieces For You follows her recovery. A road filled with suffering, torment, pain, loss but ultimately a tale of love and the journey that Sam takes to get there.

Now I really enjoyed book 1 but book 2 won me over ever so slightly more. It is such a powerful tale and one underlined with sorrow. A story that unfortunately women in real life know too much of. Reading this is kind of like breathing in frosty cold air for the first time when you step outside. It burns you slightly and makes your eyes water. It is the warmth and love of the relationships that Sam shares that lights the way says that, you can make it through. With guidance, love and patience, you can become perhaps not the same person you once were but a stronger version of yourself.

Once again Genna Rulon’s story telling is perfection (You definitely have yourself a fan here). The tale flows perfectly and each chapter pulls you in deeper.

It was great to read in Sam’s perspective and watch Hunterleigh’s relationship bloom, whilst Sam built a foundation that flourished into something wonderful with her very own (hotter, ahem sorry Hunter) hunk of man, Griffin. The man that pulls her back from the edge and into the light. The silent admirer that waited in the background until the right moment to reveal his feelings for Sam. I adored the playfulness of their relationship, despite the anguish surrounding them, he always found a way to help her forget her reality and remind her of herself. It filled the story with the tenderness it deserved.

Samantha is a character that is filled with strength and courage like no other. She drags herself from her hell hole and kicks it in the face.

You feel every drop of turmoil with Sam. Every ounce of pain and anger and every grain of love. Not for the soft-hearted, Pieces For You will have you in hysterics.

Not to mention the steamy, passionate scenes between our love birds (that’s what you really want to hear right, ladies ;)), Griffin is easy to fall in love with but of course Sam stole it for me. This is my favourite of the series so far. Filled with plots and twists along the way that stun you, once again Genna lands a perfect ending. One of which is a VHE (Very Happy Ending) for our lovely Sam.

Relentless, emotional, incarcerating. You will not out this book down.

A beautiful story of courage, strength, love and absolute power of oneself.
