Ramblings..

Holy moly...I was swept off to steamy fantasyland. God, I really enjoyed this book, one of the best paranormal romance I've read in a while. Swept away by a gust of wind right into the book. We were lucky enough to get our hands on this Arc, thank you Sharon! True to the author's word, it surely was full of steamy scenes...hot steamy scenes haha... Obviously there is so much more to the story...its full of action, mystery and adventure of self discovery into the unknown world.

Nicole a strong, brave kick ass female with special powers that no-one knew part from her sisters. Which they work together at night and help those in aid from danger, until one night a shadow of a man saw her in action and got curious what she was. That's when Nicole and Gunna's world took another turn. Gunnar is sent on a mission, a tough, powerful warrior was sent to Nicole for a reason.

Ahhh...I Love the chemistry between Gunnar and Nicole, they are so cute together. They had instant attraction, as time spent together so does the feeling. They are both sex on fire! You can feel the connection they have for one another throughout the journey and adventure they take upon.  How they develop and becoming possessive and protective of each other. I really feel the love for each together, at some point of the book i wanted to jump and scream to help i'm at desperate situations.

Gunnar takes Nicole to the world that she's didn't know before vice versa Gunnar didn't know Nicole's breed existed. They both fight for the love of their kind, protecting and saving their friends from the dangerous outcome lying ahead.

Loved the book, it was interesting all the way through til the end, the story capture you in with different character and mystery solving along the way. Really intriguing to read the next book in the series, the author builds up all loveable characters and leave you wanting more from them all. Can't wait for the next chapter of adventure in the fantasy world.

Bit about the lovely author Sharon Kay

Sharon KaySharon Kay was bitten early by the writing bug. At age twelve she wrote a short story, about a magic ring, that won a statewide contest. With her nose always in a book, she read the most novels for her age group in her local library’s summer reading program.

In her teens, writing took a back seat to fashion, as she was determined to find clothes different from what everyone else bought at the mall. And what she couldn’t find, she created. She learned to sew, worked in a fabric store after school, and spent her spare time with a needle in hand. Her black and orange prom dress is still one of her favorite creations.

She majored in apparel design in college, spending her summers working in costume shops and bridal boutiques. She worked for ten years in the Chicago garment industry, then switched her focus to apparel production logistics before becoming a stay at home mom.

Sharon lives in the Chicago area with her husband and son, and didn’t expect to write again. But Wicked Wind and the Solsti series formed in her head one weekend and refused to stay quiet until she put pen to paper. Her characters tend to keep her up at night, as they banter, fall in love, and slay endless varieties of power-hungry demons.

MJ Abraham Interview

MJAbrahamProfilePic.JPG
Hello MJ Abraham, Thank you for giving us the chance to read your amazing book, we absolutely loved it! Now giving us the time to do this interview with us…we so happy.

Let’s start with the insight…
What influenced you in becoming a writer?
My love for stories and voices in my head.
Oh, that sounds interesting; she’s got a imaginative mind.

Lets talk about your new book Resplendent…which we love.
What was the inspiration behind Resplendent?
I really think that the best relationships start off with a strong friendship.
Agree…friendship is important starter…that’s how we all usually start off.

Do you believe in love at first sight like Andres and Savannah?
Lust/Attraction at first sight – yes. Love comes with time which I think happened with Andres & Savannah
Sometimes you just know when you see them, something special…instant attraction.

Who would you personally pick between Andres and Sebastian?
This is tough. I really like Sebastian – they are so different! I’ll have to say Andres, I’m a sucker for a Cuban man ;)

Is there a likely sequel in the pipeline?
Not for Victoria or Andres
Aww…I was looking forward to more Andres and Savannah’s story but I’m sure you will enlighten us with something equally as good.

So, what's next in the Second Chance series?
I would love to do Sebastian’s story but not sure if to make it part of Second Chances or a spin off .. We’ll see.
Oh yes, I'll like to know more about Sebastian too, the unknown charmer, he definitely deserve a second chance to appear in my Kindle. ;)

Well the series of your book are called second chances…
Do you think everyone should get a second chance?
Yes! I think we ALL make mistakes and should be given the chance to learn from them and grow.

Is there a song that you feel fits this book?
Mirrors by Justin Timberlake <3

If you could be any character from a book, who would you be and why?
Tatiana Metanova from The Bronze Horseman series. Because she is strong, smart, and extremely selfless.

What is your favourite book at the moment?
My last five star read was Thief by Tarryn Fisher

Who’s your role model?
My parents :)

Writing or reading?
Oooh good question... Reading. You can’t write well if you don’t read well.
Love that quote!

And, finally we curious to know…
What are you currently working on now?
Right now I’m in the beginning stages of a story with an injured Marine and a nurse. It’ll be different from the second chances series ;)
Oouuu… something different to look forward to. We will definitely keep a eye for this upcoming marine man.

Thank you for your time, we look forward to reading more amazing stuff from you.

Thank you so much!

Ramblings...

Stunning, beautiful, enthralling story about true love that lasts a lifetime. A perfect couple whom are connected emotionally, spiritually and physically. I honestly believe they are the perfect book couple.

I LOVE Savannah. She has a beautiful soul and a heart of gold and that’s really the only way I can describe her.

Resplendent gripped me right from the first chapter. I literally couldn't stop reading. I love the time frame of the story. Not only do we meet Savannah and Andres in the current day but we travel back through time to see how their relationship grows. We also get the story from both points of view. M J does this perfectly. You really feel the emotions thrown from both parts and its awesome to see how they feel about one another and the emotions going through their minds.

"I just want you, I need you, and everything always ends up back to you somehow. You're in my thoughts, in my past, I want you to be my future"

The characters are so strong. I hated some. Loved most. The whole book played out like a movie in my head. I could see it all as it happened. It’s emotional, thrilling, pure and original. I loved everything down to the setting, it's set in the beautiful Miami. It was nice to break away from the usual Seattle.

"You know that drop in your belly you feel from a roller coaster? That's what I get when I kiss you, but better - and I really like coasters"

I was screaming at the book at some points. Others had me wanting to jump in and stand the ground for Savannah. I seriously love that chick. Andres, was just cute and sweet. He really shows that you can wait for your true love and it's worth the wait...every second of it. He's really understand her, respect her and be there for her. Their were truly meant to be! Second chances don't come often but if there is a chance fight for it, like Andres did for the love of his life. Sometimes you can't keep waiting, Take that chance!

My peach
The relationship they share is amazing. So strong and real. I could literally feel their chemistry flowing from my Kindle and I seriously wanted to stamp on Carmin MOST of the time.

"Not only do I want to devour you, but I want to please your body so thoroughly that you're begging me not to stop"

This author is the bees knees and you should definitely read Resplendent, no doubt about it! An amazing love story, you'll feel like you're there with them all the way. Every emotions, you'll feel it.

One of the best books of the year so far and one of my new all -time favourites. I would read over again!

Excerpt:
“Don’t look so scared.” He whispers, whilst tucking some loose strands of my hair behind my ear and very slowly freeing my lip with his thumb. Unfortunately at the exact time he does that I lick my lip and catch his thumb at the same time. I hear a sharp intake of breath and look into his eyes, eyes that are now staring at my mouth. My body suddenly goes on high alert and I feel every hair stand on end. The moment’s rudely interrupted by the waitress arriving with our coffee. I’m both disappointed and relieved so I quickly pick up my coffee and take a sip as a distraction. Shit it’s too hot. I stick my tongue out and chant, “Hot, hot, hot.” Declan bursts out laughing but it doesn’t last long. Becoming all serious he suddenly reaches over, grabs my head with both hands and puts his lips to mine. All the while keeping his eyes open to gage a reaction. I’m stunned, I wasn’t expecting this. His lips are firm yet so soft. His tongue licks my lip where I burnt it. It’s so gentle, soothing even and it makes every inch of my body tingle. He moves away but keeps his hands on my face whilst looking into my eyes. “Does it feel better now Izzy?” His eyes burn tracks across my whole face. I can’t look away, I’m lost in his eyes.

Blog Tour: Break Me - Review, Interview & Giveaway!!

Blurb:
Tori McLeod moved to the big city to get away from her mother—and her past. Her new routine is destroyed when she meets a mysterious stranger who won’t take no for an answer. Sebastian intrigues her, but his eyes hold secrets she would rather avoid. Sebastian Chelios, a hard-as-nails enforcer, is a new-in-town loner. He has to have her. Control her. Possess her. But he can’t—won’t—lose control, even though Tori’s innocence fascinates him. The last thing he’s going to do is love her, even after he gets her in his bed.

Losing control is dangerous, especially when someone from Sebastian’s past covets Tori, putting more than just her heart in danger.

Can Sebastian protect Tori from Jose’s sadistic obsession? If he gets his hands on her, will she make it out in one piece?

Ramblings...

A whirlwind, steamy, mysterious romance! Oh man...Curiosity really beats it at you! This book really sucks you right in from the very first page to the very last. Such a fast moving pacing with something always happening and lurking around the corner of each turning page. Thrown into pure passion and raging hormones right at the start and carrying us through on a major sexathon.

It's safe to say Tori and Sebastian are physically drawn to one another and the raw sexual hunger just keeps on coming with these two.God, they just can't keep their hands off each other! We have two completely fit (in the buff sense) characters. Sebastian with his raging muscles and hard abs and Tori with guys just falling at her feet wherever she goes (including the disgustingly awful Jose). Sebastian is full of secrets, its like question marks written on over him and his only language with Tori is sex...he is a hot man after all but However Tori, stop girl and step back and see...its danger danger written everywhere, feel like she is naive trusting so easily and so forgiving especially when people set her up in bad places. It just felt there is a instant trust from her on the whole Sebastian front but to us reading, It felt like you don't really know him you silly woman, some points of the book I feel like shouting at her, especially with all this crazy stuff happening and red flags flying up everywhere. Feel scared and worried for her...Can you have such faith in people?

“And what’s wrong with reading romance?” I asked.
Black eyes, narrowed at me. “It usually means you can’t get a piece in real life so you have to resort to masturbating to paper or porn but,” he lifted my book, “looking at this cover, it looks like it could be a bit of both.”

In between all the steamy chapters, the book is full of mystery and what-the-fucks-going-on? keeping us on the edge and guessing! We know nothing of Sebastian and I must admit I found myself questioning Tori at times "You know nothing of this stranger! Stop thinking with your pooch for a moment and ask this guy some questions!" So frustrating But its like I said, the spark is instant and relentless. Maybe it shows love can change someone, no matter what the background is and you're protect them at all cost.

"Our mouths continued to move together as he consumed me completely. Left me utterly breathless."

Filled with drama and suspense, this book is sure to keep you pulled in. So many questions you what to know the answer to but not enough book. I honestly can't say that I know enough of these characters to fall in love with them but their romance is so brutal that you have to read on and look forward to the sequel in which we will hopefully learn more. Dying to know what's next!

We also got the privilege to pick Jo-Anna's brains :P

- What influenced you in becoming a writer?

Well a couple of months ago, my aunt told me that I should consider writing my own book since I’m an avid reader. I told her that all of the stories that were in my head weren’t my own and she told me to have patience, that it’ll come to me. Well the beginning of this year, a story came to me. Now mind you, it’s changed quite a bit but the idea was there.

 - What inspired the raunchy storyline for Break Me?

Raunchy? Oh that is so awesome. I haven’t heard it being called raunchy yet. I love it. Anyways…um…well I think the characters inspired the raunchiness. I’m just the creator. They told me what to write. ;)

- Which character do you think Tori should be with Brett or Sebastian?

Is this a trick question? Lol! It’s kind of heard to answer cause I already know who she ends up with.

- Who inspires these hotties? I would love to meet your muse :P

Well actually, I thought of these hotties and then when I see someone who looks like them, I’ll save the picture. Henry Cavalli (sp) is Brett, Travis Fimmel is Garrith AND, I saw my muse for Sebastian in real life. Do you know how hard it was not to freak out? Lol!

 - Your new book In Heart of Yesterday, is it similar to Break Me? So quick paced and steamy, that it keeps you guessing?

Oh yay! No one has asked me about A Heart Story yet so thank you. It’s actually going to be released as a serial novel sometime next year and no, it’s not as quick paced and steamy but there are some steamy parts. The main couple is only 17 and 18, so I couldn’t make it too steamy.

- When is the sequel Always Me due for publish?

I will tell you that Always Me is done. My beta readers are reading it for me and then I’ll read it again, clean it up and send it to my editor. So the answer is SOON.

- Could you give us a cheeky insight of what is next for Tori?

Hmm…what is next for Tori? Hehe. Without giving too much away, lets just say she ends up happy and…well as you can probably tell, Jose is still around.

- On another note, If you could be any character from a book, who would you be and why?

Eva from the Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day. Um…Do I really need to say why? ;)

- What is your favourite book at the moment?

Hmm…honestly? I don’t really have one. I’ll read anything that’s good and if I love it, then that book is always my favourite of the moment but no specific book is my favourite right now.

 - Writing or reading?

Both. I started out as a reader so I’ll always be a reader but I’ve taken up a passion for writing and I LOVE it.

- What books do you generally like to read?

Romance but I’m trying not to read anything in my own genre. Do you know how hard that is? Lol!

- Finally, Put us out of our misery, Can you tell us when is the sequel Always Me, due for publish?

Lol! SOON!

Thankyou Jo-anna, you have been awesome, and we have been Booky Ramblings

Thank you ladies for having me!! xx
